When we opened High Paw, we chose smaller facilities on purpose. Not because we had to, but because we wanted to create an environment that could adapt to each dog.
By keeping our daily numbers low, we’re able to give every dog more than enough attention. We learn their personality. We learn their habits. We learn what makes them comfortable.
That’s what allows us to individualize care instead of managing a crowd.

Before High Paw was a business, it was a bond.
Mattie was a Norwegian Elkhound with quiet strength and a gentle spirit. She wasn’t just a family dog — she was presence. She was comfort. She was there during moments that felt heavy, and she never asked for anything in return.
She taught us something simple:
Dogs feel everything.
They feel when they are safe.
They feel when they are understood.
They feel when they are truly known.
When we opened High Paw, we carried that with us.

Daycare at High Paw reflects the same belief that built this place.
We keep our groups small so we can actually know the dogs in front of us. Not just their names, but their personalities. Who’s bold. Who’s shy. Who needs reassurance. Who needs a little extra movement.
Play is constantly supervised, not because we’re rigid, but because we care about how dogs experience their day. Some are energetic. Some are sensitive. Some are still figuring it out. We make space for all of that.
Every daycare stay includes a complimentary walk. Time outside matters. A reset in the middle of the day can make all the difference.
We don’t rush the hours.
We pay attention.
By limiting numbers, we’re able to give our all to each and every dog that comes through our doors.

OVERNIGHTS
Overnights at High Paw are available for dogs who already know our space and our routine.
We keep overnight availability limited for a reason. Dogs rest better when they feel familiar with their surroundings and the people caring for them.
The evenings are calm. The environment stays consistent. There is space to settle and sleep comfortably.
Overnight stays include a complimentary walk and continued supervision throughout their time with us.
We approach overnight care the same way we approach daycare — with attention, presence, and an understanding that being away from home can feel different for every dog.
Before booking overnight care, we confirm that your dog is comfortable here.
It’s not about filling rooms. It’s about maintaining the right environment.
Additional Walks
Every daycare and overnight stay includes one complimentary walk as part of care.
If your dog benefits from additional one-on-one time outside, extra walks are available upon request.
These are individual walks, handled by staff, and tailored to your dog’s comfort level.

Training is available through our partnered trainer, Mutts + Munch Dog Training.
Group puppy classes are hosted at our Tarzana location. Private training sessions are handled directly through the trainer’s company and can be arranged based on availability.
The focus is practical skills, confidence, and calm behavior using positive reinforcement methods.

Our pricing reflects the way we operate: smaller groups, direct supervision, and individualized attention built into the day.
We don’t inflate rates for appearance. We don’t scale care by volume. We price fairly for the work we actually do.

or the safety of all dogs in our care, proof of the following vaccinations is required:
Rabies
DHPP (Distemper / Parvo combination)
Bordetella
Vaccinations must be current prior to your dog’s first visit.
Records can be submitted electronically during registration or brought in on the first day.

Fit Test Time
FIT
Before your dog joins daycare or books overnights, we begin with fit.
This isn’t a formality. It’s how we protect the environment and the dogs in it.
We look at size, temperament, and energy level to make sure your dog feels comfortable in our space and within our groups.
If it’s a match, we move forward with confidence.
If it’s not, we’ll tell you honestly.
